Create clear visuals, strong brand-consistent designs, and engaging ads that drive traffic to Wellis where we help people improve their health and wellbeing.

Job description

Create scroll-stopping social content and customer-facing guides that help people improve their health. Turn expert input into clear visuals, strong brand-consistent designs, and engaging ads that drive traffic to Wellis.

Introduction

The creative output at Wellis is growing fast — across social channels, campaigns, and the content we share with customers to support their health journey. To strengthen our design capacity, we're looking for a Junior Designer. In this role, you'll create engaging social content (organic/paid) for channels like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, that drive traffic to our website. You'll also help turn expert input from our doctors and dieticians into clear, on-brand visuals for nutrition guides, exercise guides, e-books, and other customer-facing materials. Working closely with our Lead Designer Mike, you'll get hands-on guidance and feedback while developing your skills and making real impact.

About Wellis

At Wellis, our mission is Breaking habits for healthier, happier lives. We exist to genuinely help people. We do this by offering medical solutions that make a real difference, especially in areas where there is still a lot of taboo.

We focus on conditions like overweight, hair loss and sexual health. These are sensitive topics, but we believe people deserve honest, accessible and high-quality care. Our goal is to break taboos and help people feel better about themselves.

So far, we have helped over 45,000 customers and we are proud of our 4.7 Trustpilot score, based on nearly 1,900 reviews. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. We work hard every day to keep this score high by improving every touchpoint in the customer journey. This role directly contributes to that mission.

Our office is located in the heart of Rotterdam, at a premium spot with views over the Coolsingel. We are within walking distance of Rotterdam Central Station and metro stop Stadhuis. The area is full of gyms, cafés, supermarkets and bars.

You’ll work from one of the highest buildings in the city, with great views, a daily catered lunch, and a friendly, ambitious marketing team with different skills and backgrounds.

About the Role

As a Junior Designer, you'll help bring Wellis' brand and medical expertise to life through strong, on-brand visuals across multiple channels. You'll create social content (stills & videos) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, and design supportive customer materials such as nutrition and exercise guides, e-books, and other resources that help people improve their health and weight-loss journey.

You'll translate input from doctors, dieticians, and other experts into clear, engaging designs and illustrations, and you'll also support growth by creating social and display ads that drive traffic to our website. In addition, you may help with webinar visuals and editing or creating FAQ-style video content with our doctors. You'll work closely with our Lead Designer, Mike, who will guide you, support your development, and provide regular feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and design social media content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok (and support expansion to new channels).

  • Develop visual assets for nutrition guides, exercise guides, e-books, and other customer-facing documents that support weight-loss and healthy lifestyle goals (e.g., sleep, stress, and more).

  • Gather input from doctors, dieticians, and other experts, and translate their expertise into clear visuals, illustrations, and polished final designs.

  • Create performance-focused creatives, including social media ads and display ads that drive traffic to our website.

  • Support webinar production by editing sessions and creating FAQ-style videos with doctors.

  • Work closely with Lead Designer Mike to align on briefs, follow the house style and brand guidelines, and iterate based on feedback.

  • Ensure high-quality output across formats by maintaining attention to detail, consistency, and strong visual storytelling.

About the Team

You'll work closely with our Lead Designer, Mike, who will guide you day-to-day, help you grow, and give you frequent feedback. You'll also collaborate with our marketing team on social and paid assets, and with doctors, dieticians, and other experts to translate their input into clear, on-brand visuals. Expect short lines, quick iterations, and plenty of room to take initiative as we keep expanding our content formats and channels.

A Week in the Life

  • Monday: Kick off with the Lead Designer (Mike) to align on priorities, then create social content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube within our brand guidelines.

  • Tuesday: Design paid social and display ad creatives to drive traffic to the website, iterate based on feedback, and prep assets in the right formats.

  • Wednesday: Gather input from doctors, dieticians, and other experts and translate it into clear visuals and illustrations for nutrition/exercise guides and other customer documents.

  • Thursday: Support webinar content by editing FAQ videos with doctors, creating simple motion/animations where needed, and polishing final exports.

  • Friday: Review your work with Mike, refine details, organize files for handover, and plan next week's content pipeline (including new channels as we expand).

Job requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelor-level education in Design (or a related field).

  • 1–2 years of design experience and a portfolio that shows your skills across different formats.

  • Experience creating social media content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok (and excited to expand to new channels).

  • Strong ability to work within a house style and brand guidelines, with great attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma and comfortable turning complex input into clear visuals and illustrations.

  • Experience with video editing and motion/animation is a plus.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and curiosity to use them thoughtfully in your workflow.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.

  • Pro-active, eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating closely with a Lead Designer and other experts (doctors, dieticians, and more).

  • Able to create both organic content and paid assets (social ads/display ads) that support marketing goals.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to help build a fast-growing healthtech scale-up from the inside.

  • A hands-on creative role with real ownership: from social content to customer-facing guides, e-books, and campaign assets.

  • Close collaboration with our Lead Designer Mike and input from doctors, dieticians, and other experts to turn complex information into clear, on-brand visuals.

  • Plenty of room to grow your craft across design, video, and motion — with feedback, support, and space to take initiative.

  • A culture of short lines, speed, and continuous improvement — where pragmatism and impact matter.

  • Hybrid working: partly from our new office in central Rotterdam, partly remote.
