Job description

Help Wellis turn data into better decisions across the business. Bring data together, create key metrics, build clear dashboards, and deliver pragmatic analyses that move fast in a scale-up environment.

We're looking for two hands-on, proactive Data Analysts to join our current team of two experienced Data Analysts. You will be working with data from multiple systems and translating it into insights for Operations, Finance, Marketing and other teams. You'll work in our Google stack (BigQuery, Looker, GA4) and collaborate closely with stakeholders to improve reporting, data quality, and day-to-day decision-making.

Introduction

Data is becoming a core part of how Wellis operates — and it's growing quickly in both volume and complexity. To help us make better, faster decisions across the business, we're looking for a Data Analyst who can turn data from multiple systems into clear insights that teams can act on. We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, business-minded approach — and who takes initiative to find answers, improve data quality, and help shape how Wellis uses data at scale.

About Wellis

Wellis is a fast-growing healthtech scale-up that is reinventing one of the most traditional sectors: healthcare. What started just three years ago has already grown into a company with tens of thousands of customers, and we are only at the beginning. By combining medical expertise with technology and data, we make healthcare smarter, more efficient, and more personal.

Our mission is to improve everyday lives by making care accessible, personal, and seamless. Through our platform, people can take control of their health journey with trusted medical support, smart digital tools, and tailored programs. We move fast, challenge conventions, and build solutions that truly make an impact, because we believe better healthcare should be within everyone's reach.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst at Wellis, you'll help teams make better, faster decisions by turning data into clear insights. You'll work across multiple systems (e.g., ecommerce, subscriptions, shipping, CRM and advertising platforms) and bring data together in our Google Cloud environment. From there, you'll build analyses and dashboards that improve visibility, sharpen priorities, and support day-to-day business choices — in a fast-moving scale-up where pragmatism matters.

You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business and translate their questions into reliable reporting and actionable recommendations, while helping improve data quality and consistency as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make data across key systems available in one central place and keep it usable (e.g., Firmhouse, Shopify, MyParcel, and upcoming tools like Odoo) in our Google Cloud environment.

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to combine datasets (e.g., inventory and sales, orders and invoices) and deliver reliable, actionable outputs.

  • Build and improve dashboards and reports (primarily in Looker) to track performance across teams (marketing, operations, customer care, and finance).

  • Turn operational and Financial data into clear insights for decision-making — balancing speed and accuracy in a fast-moving scale-up.

  • Investigate data quality issues and work with stakeholders and system owners to improve definitions, structures, and consistency over time.

  • Help set reporting standards (formats, definitions, and access/permissions) so insights scale across the organization.

  • Translate stakeholder questions into analyses, clarify requirements, and proactively propose next steps and deeper questions.

  • Partner closely with marketing and leadership to support commercial performance tracking, experimentation insights, and strategic discussions.

About the Team

You'll join our growing data team, working closely with Margit (Lead Data & Analytics) and Nathan (Data Analyst). In this role, you'll collaborate directly with key stakeholders across the business, including the leadership team — translating questions into clear analyses and actionable insights. You will work closely with and report to Nico (CFO), if you focus on the financial data analysis or Remco (COO), if your focus is more operations data analysis. As Wellis continues to scale and add more systems and reporting needs, you'll have plenty of room to take ownership, proactively improve how we work with data, and help set standards for dashboards and decision-making.

A Week in the Life

  • Monday: Sync with stakeholders to align on priorities; review weekend data anomalies; update executive dashboard with key metrics.

  • Tuesday: Deep-dive analysis session with Marketing team on campaign performance; build new customer segmentation model.

  • Wednesday: Workshop with Operations on optimising patient flow based on data patterns; stakeholder interviews for new dashboard requirements.

  • Thursday: Build automated reporting for German market launch metrics; collaborate with Medical Operations on treatment efficacy analysis.

  • Friday: Present weekly insights to leadership team; document findings; plan next week's analytical priorities; knowledge sharing session with fellow analyst.

Job requirements

Who You Are

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst (or in a similar role) in a fast-moving, business-driven environment.

  • Strong SQL skills and comfortable working with cloud data warehouses (experience with BigQuery is a plus).

  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards and self-serve reporting (experience with Looker is a plus).

  • Confident combining data from multiple systems and sources (e.g., inventory management, subscriptions, orders, shipping, invoicing and financial).

  • Able to work with imperfect data and still deliver clear, actionable insights — pragmatic over perfection.

  • Proactive and self-starter: you investigate, iterate, and improve without needing constant direction.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to translate business questions into analyses people can act on.

  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch; experience in e-commerce and/or operations is a plus.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to help build a fast-growing healthtech scale-up from the inside.

  • A hands-on data role with real ownership: from connecting new data sources to delivering analyses and dashboards stakeholders rely on.

  • Close collaboration with teams across the business (operations, finance, product, marketing) and direct exposure to decision-making.

  • The chance to help bring structure to reporting standards, dashboards, and role-based access as the organization scales.

  • A culture of short lines, speed, and continuous improvement — where pragmatism and impact matter.

  • Hybrid working: partly from our new office in central Rotterdam, partly remote.

Hiring Process

  • We want the application process at Wellis to be fast, transparent, and personal. Here's what to expect:

  • Application via our website – leave your details and we'll be in touch shortly.

  • Introductory chat with Amir (Talent Acquisition) – an informal online call to get to know you and answer your questions.

  • Interview with Margit (Data) and the hiring manager for the domain – a deep-dive conversation about your experience, how you approach stakeholders, and how you like to work in a fast-moving environment.

  • Case – a practical, business-focused data case to understand how you structure your thinking, make assumptions, and translate insights into recommendations (you don't need "perfect" data to do well here).

  • Final conversation with relevant stakeholders – a closing meeting to align on expectations, team fit, and the impact you'll make at Wellis.

We keep the process compact and clear: you'll always know what to expect and truly get to know our team before making your decision.
